This year we are delighted to feature a scholarship and research fund that will have an incredible impact for our students.
The Dr. Jonathan D. Shenkin, DDS, MPH Scholarship Fund, named in honor of the late Dr. Shenkin, a GSDM professor, will provide annual scholarship awards to one or more deserving predoctoral students at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, with a preference for dental students with a demonstrated interest in health policy, health services research, or pediatric dentistry.
In addition to the scholarship fund, The Dr. Jonathan D. Shenkin, DDS, MPH Research Fund was recently established to support general research at GSDM, with a preference for research in health policy and health services, or in pediatric dentistry.

Honoring Dr. Jonathan D. Shenkin
These funds were started with initial support from Todd Shenkin, who gave in memory of his brother, Dr. Jonathan Shenkin, a GSDM clinical professor of health policy & health services research, a Fulbright Scholar, and an expert on dental public health as it relates to children’s oral health both nationally and internationally.
