Wheelock on Giving Tuesday
This scholarship is named in honor of educator and civil rights advocate Ruth Batson, who through leadership roles with the NAACP and Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, helped push the city of Boston and toward the desegregation of its public schools. The Ruth Batson Equity & Impact Scholarship provides annual awards, based on financial need, to graduate students enrolled at BU Wheelock who demonstrate dedication to teaching and show an interest in continuing their work in urban public schools.

On this year’s global day of giving back, we are presenting giving opportunities that have a direct positive impact on BU students. These giving opportunities come in the form of supporting scholarships and other student support based funds.
